How to Recognize the Early Sign of Pregnancy

There are a number of symptoms that can be early signs of pregnancy if you think you are pregnant. You should be able to recognize the early signs of pregnancy no matter what your age, nationality, race or religion. Knowing the symptoms will have give you as much time as possible to discover if you are not pregnant and allow you to come to terms with your pregnancy if you are.

A late or missed period is one of the most widely recognized early signs of pregnancy. Your natural menstrual cycle and date of intercourse can be used at a number of online pregnancy tests which plot a mathematical calculation that indicates your likelihood of pregnancy. If you have a regular menstrual cycle this is particularly useful. If you are unsure whether your missed period is really missed then this calculation may not be so clear and rather than a sign of early pregnancy it could just be due to the irregularity of your period.

Since your last period the most obvious question is whether you had intercourse. Whether a missed period is likely to be an early sign of pregnancy or another cause also means you need to consider the effectiveness of any birth control method that you were using. A rise in stress levels, increase in exercise or a sudden loss of weight are other causes of missed or irregular periods that should be considered rather than an early sign of pregnancy.

If you think your missed period is a sign of early pregnancy then it is important not to panic. Irregularities can occur in your menstrual cycle if you are worried about whether or not you are pregnant. To establish whether you are pregnant or not the obvious way is through a pregnancy test but you should also consider whether you have any other symptoms associated with an early sign of pregnancy.

Nausea or vomiting is another early sign of pregnancy. At any time of the day or night a symptom often referred to as morning sickness can be felt. Another early sign of pregnancy is a general feeling of fatigue or the need for extra sleep and during the early stages of pregnancy this often increases. Odd sensations in their abdomen are also reported by women as an early sign of pregnancy. As pregnancy progresses other symptoms will become more evident including changes in appetite, feeling bloated, frequent urination, tender breasts or a sharp pain the side but under some circumstances these symptoms may also be an early sign of pregnancy.
