Common Types of Pregnancy Symptom

It is down to the individual mother to be whether or not they will suffer from any of the different types of pregnancy symptoms. The dreaded morning sickness is the most common pregnancy symptom. For this pregnancy symptom, morning sickness is not always the appropriate term. This particular pregnancy symptom can occur at any time of the day although some women do feel nauseous in the morning. Most women find morning sickness actually affects them in the evening or they may even have it lasting all day. After the first few weeks of pregnancy many women find that their sickness subsides, but some will have the nausea for longer periods.

To help alleviate this pregnancy symptom everyone has different pieces of advice. There are many tried and tested methods but the most obvious is to eat a dry piece of toast and sip water slowly. You should try some other ways of alleviating this pregnancy symptom if you suffer from longer bouts of morning sickness. The discomforts of morning sickness can be relieved by ginger which is excellent for settling upset stomachs. You can either use freshly grated ginger to make your own drink by boiling water and adding some honey and lemon to add a better flavor, otherwise you can buy ginger tea that is already made. In addition to soothing the stomach, many women find that sipping a ginger drink other counters the nausea of the pregnancy symptom. It is also helpful to nibble on a ginger biscuit.

It can sometimes seem like pregnancy is never going to end if you are suffering from all day morning sickness, but it will eventually. Using travel sickness wrist bands have helped a number of women to lessen the nausea of the pregnancy symptom. To counter travel sickness these bands exert gentle pressure on a certain point on the wrist which is also beneficial to helping alleviate the effects of morning sickness.

Many women also suffer from cravings as another pregnancy symptom during their pregnancy. This pregnancy symptom can cause some strange cravings including some you may have heard such as coal, soap and tarmac but the majority of women experience cravings that are less strange by far. The body creates the craving to tell the woman that it is lacking some particular vitamin or mineral. For this pregnancy symptom you should just give in since it will help your general mood while at the same time pacifying the body as a form of comfort eating.
